Its heart-shaped leaves, as wide as a coin, and its fine stems form mats at ground level. It is cut several times in the year and dried in the shade, which keeps its green colour and its fresh vegetal scent. Dry, it is light and brittle, of a herbaceous, slightly bitter taste.
